MISS PIN UP TATTOO 2010 Dopo il successo della prima edizione che lo scorso anno ha portato all’incoronamento di reginetta del concorso Miss Baby Army, ballerina burleque e tatuatrice, ritorna il concorso per l’elezione di Miss Pin Up 2010. Quest’anno toccherà alla giuria scegliere la candidata a cui Miss Baby Army dovrà passare lo scettro. Il concorso - che lo scorso anno ha avuto un successo travolgente tanto da diventare l’avvenimento più atteso della manifestazione – è aperto a tutte le ragazze di età compresa tra i 18 e i 30 anni e come si legge nel dettagliato regolamento di iscrizione comporta la presentazione di una performance che in solo tre minuti dovrà mettere in luce le proprie qualità e la propria attitudine a pin up, un modo di guardare al mondo in maniera ironico ma seducente, disincatata e maliziosa allo stesso tempo. This year a jury will choose the winner who will receive the title from Miss Baby Army. The contest – that last year was so successful that it became the number one attraction of the convention – is open to all girls between the ages of 18 and 30. according to the detailed contest regulation each one will have to prepare a 3-minute performance able to show the jury their qualities and pin-up attitude, an ironic but sexy look, disillusioned but malicious at the same time. Il Burlesque è un’arte antica, una sorta di spettacolo cabarettistico che nasce attorno alla seconda metà dell’Ottocento nell’Inghilterra Vittoriana. Le sue prime apparizioni hanno indubbiamente uno stile “veaudeville” e cioè uno spettacolo in voga fra gli strati meno abbienti della società dell’epoca, spesso e volentieri la sua indole sovversiva mirava alla satira verso le classi dirigenti. Importato successivamente anche negli Stati Uniti, col passare del tempo il burlesque perde in gran parte il suo lato sovversivo per lasciare spazio ad un’esibizione decisamente più maliziosa e carica di “ tease”!! La femminilità della donna è enfatizzata da costumi appariscenti e per la gioia del pubblico sempre più succinti. La Voodoo De Luxe si propone di riaffermare questi spettacoli, cercando di ricreare quell’atmosfera magica che ruotava attorno alle ballerine e ai loro spettacoli, famme fatale o ingenue fanciulle a volte eleganti a volte grintosi, senza mai trascurare il lato più caratteristico e malizioso del burlesque. A very naughty exhibit put up by Voodoo Deluxe, the first Italian burlesque show agency that wants to bring back Burlesque to its ‘golden age’ when femininity was the undisputed protagonist of the stage. Burlesque is an ancient art, a sort of cabaret show that was born in the mid 800’s in Victorian Great Britain. The first performances had a sort of “veaudeville” style, a show that was very popular with the less well-off classes of the time, and often the show was a satire towards the upper classes. Imported soon after in the US, as years went by, burlesque lost most of its subversive nature to become a more malicious performance full of “ tease”!! femininity is highlighted by flashy costumes and for the joy of the audience ever more scanty. Voodoo De Luxe wants to bring back these shows, trying to recreate that magical atmosphere that revolved around the dancers and their shows, femme fatale or naïve little girls, sometimes elegant and sometimes naughty, without ever neglecting the most typical and malicious nature of burlesque.   JHONNYBOY AND THE ICE CREAM Si approprieranno del Main Stage della Milano Tattoo Convention i Jhonnyboy and the Ice Cream, band carismatica milaese che si sta facendo rapidamente strada nel panorama musicale italiano. L’adrenalinico R’n’R e la carismatica presenza sul palco con acrobazie strumentali a colpi di contrabbasso sfrenato e pezzi anni ’50 dalle influenze Hillbilly e Neo-Rockabilly non lasceranno di certo immobile ed indifferente il pubblico al loro sound. Il supporto mediatico scelto dai tre artisti è quello delle tavole da skate sulle quali ognuno di loro ha posto la propria impronta creativa. Gli oggetti d’antiquariato di El Rana, stampe mediche, cromuliti religiosi ed ex voto - che i sempre più numerosi visitatori della Milano Tattoo Convention hanno avuto modo di conoscere negli anni - si sono incastonati nel legno delle tavole, precedentemente dipinte dagli altri due artisti. L’iperrealismo dalle tinte gotiche e oniriche di Carlos Torres si è unito alle immagini spiccatamente pop di Massimo Gurnari, dando vita a contrasti ed equilibri di immagini, che hanno come sottofondo il tono religioso e sacrale degli interventi di Simone El Rana. An exhibit created from the artistic experiences of the Italian artists Simone El Rana and Massimo Gurnari with the California artist Carlos Torres. The medium they chose is the skateboard and on each one the three artists put their creative mark. El Rana’s antique objects, medical prints, religious objects and ex voto – which the numerous visitors of the Milan Tattoo Convention had the pleasure of seeing over the years – were set in the wood boards, that were first painted by the other two artists. The hyper-realism of the Gothic colors of Carlos Torres combined with the pop images of Massimo Gurnari, thus producing contrasts and image balances that are set on the religious and sacred background of Simone El Rana.   L’ARTE DELLA RIFLESSIONE - Antonio Proietti Dopo l'arte del sacro e del profano, Antonio Proietti in occasione della Milano Tattoo Convention presenta la sua ultima serie artistica: oltre dieci dipinti su tela dedicati all’uomo e ai sette vizi capitali. Superbia, accidia, ira, invidia, avarizia, gola e lussuria vengono presentate dal tatuatore romano come riflesse in uno specchio attraverso il volto dell’uomo. Uno zoom sull’espressione del volto svelerà di quale vizio si tratta, un particolare, una luce o una smorfia diventeranno l’estrema rappresentazione di ognuno dei sette vizi. Una mostra di estremo impatto visivo che al realismo in cui il tatuatore eccelle unisce la bravura per il dettaglio espressivo. Un’interpretazione di uno dei temi più amati nell’arte girato da Antonio Proietti in chiave estrema e contemporanea ponendo come fulcro di ognuno di essi l’uomo e la sua psiche. After the art of sacred and profane, for the Milan Tattoo Convention Antonio Proietti will present his most recent artistic works: over ten paintings dedicated to man and the seven deadly sins. Pride, sloth, anger, envy, greed, gluttony, lust are represented by the tattoo artist from Rome as a reflection in the mirror through the face of men. A zoom on the expression of the face will show which sin is represented, a detail, light or a grimace will become the extreme representation of each of the seven sins. An exhibit with incredible visual impact which combines realism with the artist’s passion for expressive detail. An interpretation of one of the beloved topics of art represented by Antonio Proietti in an extreme and contemporary way highlighting in each one man and his mind.   CRIS MANTELLO & THE JOLLY ROGERS Cris Mantello & the Jolly Rogers sono una band Swing-a-Billy nata nei vicoli bui delle periferie tra gangster senza scrupoli e bettole fumose. I tre gatti randagi raccontano storie di pupe, auto veloci e anni in cui le note ferivano come il piombo.Lo spettacolo si snoda attraverso i grandi classici Rock'n'Roll americani degli anni ‘50 e lo Swing puramente napoletano di casa nostra.Ma parliamo un po’ di loro.Jolly Bellachioma ai tamburi, un uomo dall’ingannevole aspetto tranquillo ma dal carattere orgoglioso ed iracondo( non fatelo mai arrabbiare...!! ).Lucky Magnolia, da poco ha preferito il contrabbasso al precedente impiego di sicario; se non ci credete guardatelo negli occhi !!!Ed il più pericoloso Cris Mantello alla voce chitarra e mandolino,attenzione mentre sta sorridendo potrebbe farvi fuori senza che ve ne accorgiate con una scarica di note infuocate.Se sarete abbastanza duri ne vedrete delle belle... ...
